StockGuru Blog: WGL Entertainment CEO Mike Pagnano Has Reality T.V. Show “In the Can” and Ready to Sell

WGLEWGL Entertainment Holdings, Inc.

Stock Guru spoke with the CEO of WGL Entertainment Holdings, Inc., Mike Pagnano, today. Persistence paid off. He now has a reality television show in the can and is negotiating its sale with several networks while beginning a second show.

“This is called the The WGL Million Dollar Shootout Reality Series (www.wglmilliondollarshootout.com) and we expect it to air in January or February of 2007, in the United States and sooner abroad. They key to a successful reality television program is simple: a compelling story must be captured within a limited budget. As in all productions casting is the key. We knew when we were casting that you must have characters that create emotion in the viewer. We actually wanted a bad guy — someone the viewer will love to hate and a good guy — someone they will love to love. In fact we want all our characters to resonate on some level with the viewer, but no doubt about it, this is one instance when you get out there and hire the most obnoxious guy you can find. We thought we had that, we were sure we had found the right characgters for our new reality television show once the casting was in place with The Million Dollar Shootout which is based on golf. The great news is that we knew we had it once the filming began.”

Pagnano continued: “What we are delivering is the edited result of five hundred hours of filming. We took this raw footage and edited to seven one hour episodes. The episodes highlight the real drama and genuine tension of a golf tournament through the interpersonal relations of the team players. We have a finished product and it’s in the can. We are negotiating for its sale now. This is the first reality television show which is geared toward one of the most coveted demographic populations in television – the one with significant disposable income: the golfer. While the setting is golf we believe the story, the real story that includes voting off the players, will draw in even the non-golfing audience.”

Mike Pagnano is excited about selling this series and fully immersed the his second series: ‘Hot Day’s & Hot Nights,’ which is directed to another coveted audience, the 18 to 35 year old crowd!

Stay tuned: as Stock Guru and Mike Pagnano exmine the nuts and bolts of selling a television reality show that is ‘in the can!”
