StatSure Diagnostic Systems, Inc.

StatSure Diagnostic Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: SSUR) is engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of rapid immunoassay tests for the detection of sexually transmitted and other infectious diseases; in addition, the Company has developed and is marketing a product line of patented, oral-fluid collection devices. The Company’s proprietary platforms provide significant customer benefits and competitive advantages as compared to similar products that are currently available. Improved accuracy, operator convenience, and reduced risk of infection from collecting and handling specimens, have been engineered into SDS products. All of the company’s diagnostic tests are based on the same easy-to-use technology platform, thus facilitating the development of future products. Certain of these products are sold in the United States as well as internationally to various distributors for use in clinical laboratories, hospitals, clinics, community-based organizations and other public health organizations.
Products

StatSure™ is a self-contained, rapid whole-blood testing format for the detection of antibodies to a broad spectrum of infectious disease targets. The sample is obtained though a small (~3µl) finger-stick. Results can often be read within several minutes and do not require any instrumentation. This product line is designed for on-site testing in clinics, doctors’ offices, the military, mobile health vans, emergency situations, and those places where immediate results are necessary. All SDS rapid tests (StatSure™ & StatSimple™) require no special handling, mixing, storage, electricity, refrigeration or specialized training. (US Patent #5,935,864)

StatSure™ HIV is a self-contained, rapid whole-blood test for the detection of HIV antibodies from a sample obtained though a small (~3µl) finger-stick. Results can often be read within several minutes and do not require any instrumentation. This kit is designed for on-site testing in clinics, doctors’ offices, mobile health vans, the military, emergency situations, and those places where immediate results are necessary. StatSure™ HIV is not currently available in the USA

Saliva•Sampler™ Saliva Collection Device

Saliva•Sampler™ is the only collection device available that offers a built-in Sample Volume Indicator, that creates a blue mark when sufficient sample has been obtained. The unique design of this product also eliminates a potentially time-consuming, manual step – centrifugation- and offers a quick, convenient, dignified, and painless alternative for gathering oral fluids.

Oral fluid tests are cost effective, easy to administer and eliminates adulteration and/or substitution. Sample collection with an oral fluid device is an improvement over collecting urine both in terms of employee dignity and the reduction of time employees spend away from the job. Plus, an observer can witness the employee collecting his or her own sample of saliva to prevent sample tampering. When an employee goes for a urine-based drug test, between two and two-and-half hours of an employee’s productive time and of the human resources staff member’s time is lost because the employee has to be accompanied to the off-site testing location. Oral fluid collection allows the employer to simply test the employee in the human resources office, and within 15 minutes, the employee is back on the job. Another benefit that oral fluid collection provides is that it eliminates adulteration and/or substitution. With urine tests, employees can adulterate or substitute their urine sample, but because oral fluid collecting is a self-administered, observed test that never leaves the employee’s hand, the test cannot be altered in anyway.
