I am very excited in reviewing the financials recently filed by IDGJ as they move from the Pink Sheets to the OTCBB. This means their financial statements as well as audited full year 2007 financial statements will be provided in Q1 2008 and we will see continuous financial disclosure as required to be a reporting OTC:BB issuer.
This company has got so many things going for it and moving to the OTCBB is just one of many. IDGJ is on the cutting edge of providing counterfeiting detection systems with nanomolecular markers.
I think counterfeit detection represents an incredible growth industry and IDGLOBAL has two primary divisions:
- Nano-Molecular Markers / Tags™ used in anti-counterfeiting applications and
- IDFORENSIX™ products utilized in Loss Prevention for the $800 billion Anti-Counterfeiting and Loss Prevention markets
It is looking like IDGJ may end up with an incredible amount of business particularly with the R&D and nanotechnology focus.
IDGJ’s Nano-Molecular Markers™ can be applied to most electronics components to track counterfeiting infections.
These markers are applied to pre-selected internal, external or individual components allowing for the item that is marked to be verified as 100% authentic at any stage of the manufacturing process and right up to retail.
In a recent report on Electronic Design, Strategy, News ( www.edn.com ) Margaret Peterlin, deputy under secretary of Commerce for intellectual property, commented, ”In 2006, in terms of seizures — which is going to under-account for the real amount because it’s what we were able to intercept — 5 percent of the total value seized was consumer electronics. In 2007, it was 9 percent, which is a bad news story for what the bad guys are willing to target. Footwear and apparel are number one and number two followed by pharmaceuticals and then electronics.”
Excerpts of that conversation can be viewed at http://www.edn.com/article/CA6488501.html?text=counterfeit .
I think it is pretty obvious that China cannot manage the organized crime involved in counterfeiting. The real management will be applied by the manufacturers — and those are the customers that IDGJ is seeking. (See previous blog.)
This is a great industry, with proven growth, and now, IDGJ has financial transparency.
I think this represents a great, great equity story.
