Ammons said digital signage is replacing the way television is watched as it allows customers to view and filter the content they want.
“[Customers] can develop their own TV, content and commercials,” he said. “We do business with about 95 percent of the digital signage platform players in the country … we went in and formatted our software with all these companies.”
The company recently announced the appointment of Ed Kessing as vice president of operations as the company looked to enhance the strength of its management team and emerge as “the Best in Class provider of news and information feeds.”
“I brought in Ed Kessing … quite frankly because we needed the help,” Ammons said. “Data Call is really exploding.”
In about two weeks the company will unveil its “smart phone,” a desktop phone with a small screen. Customers can push buttons to request live weather, sports, traffic and other information.
“It’s just another great product that Data Call has done … Data Call is just an amazing company and we’re tickled pink to have Ed Kessing on board,” said Ammons.
