Lantis – StockGuru Profile Lantis – OTC: LSSR.PK
Lantis Laser Inc. has the exclusive right to commercialize the application of OCT in the dental field, under its license Agreements with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and LightLab Imaging. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an example of a “state of the art” optoelectronics with a real-world applications. OCT utilizes photonics and fiber optics.
Stock Guru spoke with Stan Baron, President & CEO of Lantis on Friday who pointed out, “OCT is ideally suited for bio-imaging as the resolution can even go to the cellular level and it is completely safe as light. The fiber optic can access almost any part of the body as it is only .006″ in diameter, about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.”
It is important to understand that OCT is a groundbreaking technology that has wide use applications in many fields. Lantis Laser is developing its use in the dental field but many research universities and companies are simultaneously developing its application in other fields.
In order to begin to understand the broad applications and the level of success this technology has had in other fields, links are provided to research and applications being made by top tier universities such as Harvard Medical School, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins, and Columbia University, Dartmouth, Northwestern and other universities.
