Global Development Resources Inc. (Pink Sheets: GDVRF) is a real estate finance company targeting the Baby Boomer generation for its lending services, viewing those consumers as the ones who are the most likely to know what they want, and not only pay for what they want, but also be able to pay what it takes to get it.”This is the largest generation of consumers in history. [Between 1946 and 1964], nearly 76 million children were born in the U.S. This is an astonishing statistic when one recognizes that the entire U.S. population in 1945 totaled just less than 140 million,” states the company’s Web site. “This is the most active, health conscious generation ever, with a propensity to get what they want and pay what it costs.”
According to the company, Baby Boomers own 68 percent of all money market accounts; earn 42 percent of the total after-tax income; own their homes 80 percent of the time, with 80 percent of those being mortgage free; and have financial assets that are 90 percent larger than the national average.
It’s those characteristics, and “relocation migration,” that attracted Global Development to the Baby Boomer generation.
The company is engaged in real estate acquisition, development and sales and real estate lending. Global Development plans to establish its presence in real estate ownership and development based on geographic segments. The company recognizes relocation trends of Baby Boomers, or where they might relocate after retirement.
“It has become evident that North America is at the beginning of a ground swell of relocation migration by the largest most affluent generation in history. A careful study of the relocation criteria that has been established by those making these changes in residency, will begin to define certain geographic areas that will provide the residential elements required to fulfill their lifestyle objectives. GDR is constantly updating and improving its methods of determining the elements most important to the relocation of this significant number of consumers,” said the company.
Global Development’s current holdings include The Briar Rose Club in Georgia; Big Creek Lodge in North Carolina; Los Pueblos in Taos, New Mexico. Pending projects include a second parcel at The Briar Rose Club in Georgia, and Condominium development in Greenville, South Carolina.
