Every public company loves when they put out good news and see the reflection in its stock price. The following four companies released positive news of some kind either this morning or late yesterday and have seen their stock prices soar so far today.Shares of Paincare Holdings Inc. (AMEX: PRZ) were up 6 cents, or 19 percent, to 39 cents on volume of 326,700 in early Thursday trading. This morning the company announced the completion of a “key transaction” regarding the company’s comprehensive financial restructuring plan. PainCare reported it sold its Maryland-based Center for Pain Management to its original shareholders – the transaction allows the shareholders to repurchase the Center for Pain Management for a one time payment of $5 million, forgiveness of a $7.8 million note and forgiveness of $2 million in earn-out obligations.
Abraxas Petroleum Corporation (AMEX: ABP) shares rose 29 cents, nearly 8 percent, to $4.17 on volume of 237,400 this morning after the company announced a 145 percent increase in daily production. Abraxas reported its results from a Devonian horizontal well drilled in West Texas and provided an overview of assets retained. Abraxas is a crude oil and natural gas exploration company, based in San Antonio with operations in Texas and Wyoming.
The 3 cent increase, or 250 percent, to 3 cents in National Realty and Mortgage Inc. (OTCBB: NRMG) shares reflects the company’s announcement today of its acquisition of World Through Limited, which, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Sunway World Through Technology Co., controls Daquing Sunway Technology. National Realty also announced the completion of a $6.7 million private placement through the sale of newly designated Series B Convertible Preferred Stock and attached warrants. National Realty shares were moving on volume of 298,440.
Shares of Platina Energy Group Inc. (OTCBB: PLTG) increased 8 cents, or 44 percent, to 27 cents on volume of 294,700 this morning, still rising from news late yesterday evening. The company announced it has re-entered several of its existing wells on the Young County Prospect. Production data will be released after the initial testing phase. In the press release, Platina said it is “very excited about this prospect.”
