E-mail marketing exceeded $7.3 billion in 2005 according to independent studies prepared by eMarketer, Jupitermedia, META Group/IMT Strategies and Forrester Research.
While legislative enforcement has proved largely ineffective in fighting SPAM, Sticky Web, Inc.’s management has determined that the principal weapon against SPAM is to establish a true OPT-IN database of names by which delivery of e-mail communications can be both guaranteed and certified.
As reported in a February 5, 2006, New York Times article, SPAM currently makes up 60 percent of the 25 billion e-mail messages sent each day accounting for some for 15 billion e-mail messages.
