WordLogic Corp. (WLGC) is Well Positioned as Smartphone Users Worldwide will Total 1.75 Billion in 2014

WordLogic Corporation develops, markets, licenses, and sells an advanced predictive platform software designed to accelerate information discovery and text input. Consistently maintaining a 4.5 out of 5 rating from users at the Google Play Store, WorldLogic’s iKnowU keyboard is one of the most advanced keyboards available for Android, Google’s mobile operating system. The iKnowU keyboard and their proprietary Reach platform were also among the five picks at the 2013 CTIA mobile marketplace conference in Las Vegas. WorldLogic is currently developing an iOS 8 version of their technology which poises the company for explosive growth as the smartphone market continues to grow.

Smartphone manufacturers shipped a whopping 1.004 billion smartphones in 2013, up 38.4% from 2012’s shipments of 725.3 million, according to data from the International Data Corporation (IDC). Worldwide, phone makers shipped more than 1.8 billion cell phones, with smart devices accounting for 55.1% of the total. For the first quarter of 2014, vendors shipped a total of 281.5 million smartphones worldwide, up 28.6% from the 218.8 million units sold in the first quarter of 2013. Overall, smartphones accounted for 62.7% of all mobile phone shipments in the first quarter of 2014, up from the 50.7% of all mobile phone shipments in the first quarter of the prior year. Smartphone shipments are dominating the market. Already the advanced economies of North America, Europe, and Japan are showing signs of maturing and smartphone growth is expected to slow to a rate of 8.3% by 2017. 169 million people in the U.S. owned smartphones (70 percent mobile market penetration) during the three months ending in May, up 4 percent since February. The smartphone market is expected to grow to 1.75 billion globally by the end of 2014.

In 2013, Apple ranked as the top smartphone manufacturer with 41.9% of the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) market share, while Google Android led as the number one smartphone platform with 52.1 percent platform market share. New data from Net Applications indicates that Android continues to be the dominant mobile operating system holding 61.9% market share in the U.S., as Apple iOS lost market share last year. More important than market share is revenue, and even though iOS has a smaller base, Apple’s iOS brings developers five times more revenue than Android.

The user base for WorldLogic Corporation’s product continues to grow globally in both mature and developing markets. The new iOS 8 version will extend WordLogic’s advances in technology to a market of over 1 billion iOS devices by year end, adding to the already existing exponential opportunities for revenue growth.
