Watchit Media (WMDA.PK) Covering a Booming Las Vegas

Watchit Media (Pink Sheets: WMDA) is a Las Vegas lifestyle television network, airing about 22 shows covering fashion, entertainment, news, music and more. The company recently announced the addition of real-time presentation of news and information from Las Vegas Sports Consultants (LVSC) to Watchit SportsBook, expected to drive revenue and keep the company on-top of new media convergence trends.The daily show will feature nine sports consultants, three times a day, as they update the odds and discuss the factors that influence the odds for major sporting events and games. Jim Lavel, CEO and chairman of Watchit Media, told Market News First the consultants are licensed by the Nevada Gaming Commission and are not predictors but actually set the odds.

“If you go back and look at their record over the past 5 or 10 years, they have established an incredible record of being very close to the outcomes of the games and events for which they make odds,” said Lavel.

The consultants are one driving force behind the new segment, expected to generate traffic and fit hand-in-hand with the company’s future business plans.

“We believe this will allow us to generate significantly greater advertising revenue because of the increased traffic that will drive to WatchitVegas.com … secondly, over the next month or two, we’ll be launching a subscription service,” said Lavel. “We think that’s going to be a blowout success.”

The subscription service will allow consumers to choose the sporting events or topics they wish to receive information about and pay a fee for the filtered information.

Lavel seems confidant that Watchit Media’s lifestyle programming and addition of the LVSC will be instrumental in the company’s success.

“Watchit Media and www.watchitvegas.com are on the brink of skyrocketing – the television programming that we’re producing … is the only Las Vegas lifestyle television network in existence anywhere,” said Lavel. “Our numbers are growing significantly, month over month, our promotional activities with our media company in New York are just taking off – we see a lot of blue sky ahead for our company.”
