StrikeForce Technologies (SFOR.OB) Receives Patent Award for Identity Theft Prevention Technology

StrikeForce Technologies, a company that specializes in the prevention of identity theft and data breaches, has been awarded the patent for “Multi-Channel Device Utilizing a Centralized Out-of-Band Authentication System” from the U.S. Patent Office, which the company believes will change the face of its position in the market.

“Being awarded the patent is a game changer for StrikeForce,” Mark L. Kay, CEO of StrikeForce stated in the press release. “Mobile device sales are skyrocketing with no end in sight; in 2009 more than 1.2 billion mobile devices were sold, stimulating the exponential growth of mobile applications that need strong authentication.”

The company’s ProtectID Out-of-Band Mobile Authentication technology can be used to secure access to popular and frequently visited sites, both for business and personal use.

Strikeforce’s newly patented technology offers secure access to social networking Web sites, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.; protects online banking access, wire transfers and transaction authorization; meets 2-Factor Authentication compliance; and protects critical infrastructure and citizens against cyber attacks.

“We are very excited about the extensive market opportunity our ProtectID Out-of-Band Multi-Factor Authentication product provides for mobile devices. ProtectID is perfectly positioned at the intersection of the hottest three trends, Mobility, Cloud Computing and the Steep Rise of Security Threats,” Kay stated.
