SAN BERNARDINO, CA — Medina International Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: MIHI) announced today that Kelly Space & Technology will be attending the upcoming Maritime Security Expo 2007 with the company.
Daniel Medina, CEO of Medina International Holdings, Inc., stated, “We feel that the relationship with Kelly Space is strategically important for the company. The Maritime Expo will be the ideal place to promote our new partner and introduce Medina Marine’s watercraft to the buyers and decision makers that will be attending this unique event.”
OVERVIEW OF RECENT MILESTONES
– Medina recently extended the patent license term on its boat hull
design with Mr. Albert Mardikian for ten years expiring in 2017. The
Agreement provides for exclusive license rights for the 12 foot and 15 foot
patented boat designs and non-exclusive license rights on the Patented Fire
Pump design.
– Chief Financial Officer Rao Mankal was recently interviewed by USA
Today. The interview discussed the evolution of Force Protection, a
company which Mr. Mankal was instrumental in launching, and had its roots
in maritime.
– The company has completed its first sale to a Turkish local
Municipality (government of Turkey). The company delivered a 15 foot Fire
Rescue Boat on the 24th of July.
– In late June Medina completed delivery and received payment for a 15
foot Fire Rescue boat to the New Fairfield, Connecticut Volunteer Fire
Department, Squantz Engine Company. This is the first of what the company
believes could be multiple sales to Eastern seaboard counties over the
coming months.
– The company entered into an agreement on August 22, 2007 with Kelly
Space & Technology, Inc., a California Corporation, to be the company’s
exclusive distributor for watercraft sales to the United States Department
of Defense (DOD). The Agreement also provides Kelly Space & Technology,
Inc. with a non-exclusive distributorship for other, non-DOD customers, not
limited to the boundaries of the United States.
– Medina will be exhibiting at the Maritime Security Expo 2007, held at
the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on November 27th and
28th. According to the Expo’s website, ‘The Safe Port Act and other recent
legislation guarantee over $5 billion in maritime/port security
expenditures over the next five years. The company intends to aggressively
