Sipp Industries (OTCPK: SIPC) is a company that markets a new flexible pouch packaging product for the ready-to-drink spirits beverage market. The company recently announced that it is ahead of its timetable and should begin delivering its spirits in the 1st quarter of 2008.
Since these drinks are less than 14-proof, they can be sold in several states that carry only beer and/or wine. This opens a whole new range of opportunities to sell to distributors, convenience stores, large wholesale chains, and restaurants that traditional wholesale spirits distributors cannot access.
Another positive for Sipp is their packaging. The drinks, purchased individually or in a 10-pack, are contained in a flexible pouch package. This differentiates it from the competition in the ready-to-drink spirits market. Sipp’s management estimates that it will take at least 2 years for the competition to have similar packaging available for their products.
Sipp is also entering the private label market for spirits. They have obtained private reserve spirits for private labeling which Sipp calls the “Best of the Best” in the world. The Private Reserve will have limited production and will be available in 5-star resorts, hotels, and restaurants. Sipp has procured 6 blends of Private Reserve spirits from around the globe. These imported spirits will be bottled in hand engraved decanters, specially made for each 5-star location.
