Celsius Holdings has started off 2008 with a string of new public announcements regarding new distributors and several major retailers now carrying Celsius products. The first announcement of 2008 was a correction to a previous announcement and assured investors that Celsius would not be changing ticker symbols despite changing its fiscal year end to December 31. The second announcement was that Bernick’s Beverages and Vending added Celsius to their portfolio of distributed beverages, a move that will add sales and distribution of Celsius products in nine Central and Northern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin markets. Commenting on the addition was Celsius Holding’s COO Dick McGee who said, “Celsius is gaining huge traction with experienced distributors around the country, due to the fact the beverage offers something new and relevant for today’s consumers.”
Next in the string of ’08 announcements was that Celsius beverages would be available on the shelves of 151 Meijer stores as of mid January. Two days later followed an announcement that 135 Walgreens in the state of Michigan would also begin carrying Celsius products. These announcements added two new key retailers to the long list of stores that proudly carry Celsius products such as Raleys, Vitamin Shoppe, Hi-Health, Valero Corner Stores, Diamond Shamrock, Hannaford Supermarkets, Heine’s, Sweetbay Supermarkets, Discount Drug Mart, King Soopers, Krogers, Dillions, Fry’s, Smiths, Gelsons, Market Baskets, Bristol Farms and Central Markets.

The drinks are available in 5 flavors including Orange, Cola, Lemon-Lime, Wild Berry and Ginger Ale. In the first and second quarters of sales Celsius Holdings has posted total revenues of $241,000 and $376,000 respectively. With the addition of more distributors and retail chains the company is looking for sales to increase tremendously in the upcoming months.
