Lightyear Network Solutions Inc., a provider of an array of telecommunications services to business and residential customers throughout North America, today posted its financial results for the first quarter 2011 ended March 31, 2011. The first-quarter results include Lightyear's acquisition of SouthEast Telephone, which was completed on October 1, 2010. Revenue was reported at $18.6 million for the first quarter 2011, up 65.3 percent from $11.3 million in the year-ago quarter. Gross profit increased 80.7 percent to $6.6 million.
