Neutra Corp. (NTRR) Seeks to Help End NFL’s Staph Infection Epidemic

With football season now in full swing, a dangerous, highly resistant strain of staph infections is plaguing locker rooms across the country, potentially costing organizations such as the NFL and NCAA millions of dollars. Neutra Corp., a growing provider of all-natural wellness solutions, is working to help end the costly epidemic.

NTRR and joint venture partner Surface to Air Solutions (S2O2) are exploring the acquisition this week of a company that is poised to help eliminate staph infections in locker rooms around the world. S2O2 is targeting a Texas-based firm that has a potentially lucrative anti-microbial coating capable of adhering to sporting equipment and facilities, preventing viral and bacterial contamination.

In addition to preventing the spread of common diseases and illnesses from the flu to necrotizing fasciitis, the technology could prove especially useful in combatting the antibiotic-resistant strain of staph known as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

The notoriously difficult-to-treat bacteria has been an increasingly large concern in locker rooms of late. Just last week, ESPN reported that the NFL Players’ Association considered advising the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles not to play their scheduled game this Sunday after a third Tampa Bay player was diagnosed with MRSA. Staph infections can commonly be spread between athletes who share equipment and facilities.

Neutra Corp. is dedicated to commercializing innovative, all-natural products to compete in the fast-growing wellness sector alongside Herbalife Ltd. (HLF), Vitamin Shoppe (VSI), Nutraceutical International Corp. (NUTR) and Schiff Nutrition International Inc. (WNI). The company has already partnered with Purlife, the exclusive Canadian distributor of a patent-pending, water-based solution that forms an invisible, long-lasting coating capable of actively protecting surfaces from the buildup of bacteria, germs, molds and allergens.
