Intelligentias, Inc. (ITLI.OB) – A Triple Play in the Making

Every once in a while, a new technology is born that we coin as being “disruptive.” Maybe it’s because it’s so new, or maybe because – as it becomes widely adopted – it displaces and disrupts the systems that were originally in place, creating a sort of “mad scramble”, and then a societal change to adapt to it. Consider the Compact Disc for example. In a very short time, the turntable and vinyl records were tossed aside for this new technology. Virtually tens of millions of “records” stopped being played, and CD’s were blaring. The entire music industry was transformed in what can only be described as a “heartbeat”.

But then there is the “lone disrupter”. This is a technology, or a company, that doesn’t disrupt or destroy the systems in place before it. In fact, it is often a brand new technology to solve a new form of need. Every so often, the “lone disrupter” establishes a brand new category of business. This is what we’re seeing at Intelligentias.

Intelligentias, Inc. (trading under the symbol ITLI) is a global data intelligence company. With a worldwide network of technology and resale partners, Intelligentias provides homeland security products to law enforcement agencies, government agencies, telecommunications companies and ISPs in order to prevent terrorism, cyber-crime and child exploitation. Although there have been other agencies and companies providing services to law enforcement throughout the world, none of them have been as specific as Intelligentias is in meeting the technological demands of a post 9/11 world. In fact, in trying to compare competitors in their sector, the analyst encounters a problem; there is no direct competitor.

Management at Intelligentias looked at the problems of terror, crime, cyber crime, etc., and decided that a three-pronged technological attack was the most promising. Starting with their data retention software “Retentia,” ITLI is now leading the world in data retention capabilities. Internet Service Providers and telecom providers around the world are being required to store anywhere from 6 months to 2 years worth of customer transactions, including phone calls, web sites surfed, log in times, IP addresses, mobile devices used, etc. This is generating trillions of bits of data that was completely unmanageable before Intelligentias solutions became available. Now companies can sort it, store it and retrieve it in mere moments, for far less money than was possible just a couple of years ago.

Once they had a solution to storing the sheer mass of information that was being generated each day, they were quick to focus on the next aspect of combating global terror; the actual lawful interception of suspected criminal communication. Their portfolio company, Interceptia, Inc., operates in Europe and the Middle East as Datakom GmbH and as Interceptia in other parts of the world. Interceptia focuses on legal interception of telecommunications by law enforcement agencies and intelligence services. Finally, to round out the opportunity, Intelligentias’ other portfolio company, Investigatia, will be launched later this year and will function as an investigation company. Investigatia is expected to focus on fraud, identity theft, identity authentication and verification.

This is a “lone disrupter” triple play. Before 9/11, there was no such requirement out of Europe and parts of Asia to store all these telecom and ISP records. Before the bombings in Spain and London, no one needed to implement a company based on the interception of criminal communications. And now, in a post 9/11 world, the need to establish confident identification, verification, and identity theft measures is a necessary evil of a modern world.

Intelligentias seeks to become the primary provider of all three services to telecoms, ISP’s, and legal authorities throughout the world. Their three-pronged approach is unique, having no equal in the technological sense. With a nuclear world, focused on energy, food, money and religion, Intelligentias provides the true services that allow Homeland Defense to do its job.
