Helix Wind Corp. is a global renewal energy company engaged in the design, manufacture and sales of small wind vertical axis turbines designed to generate 300 watts, 1 kilowatt, 2 kilowatts or 4.5 kilowatts of clean, renewable electricity.
The company announced today that in cooperation with its distributor, SWG Energy, it has accepted a purchase order to provide twenty-four of its low-noise S594 wind turbines for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF). This additional purchase order was received after installation and successful completion of standard testing for two units that were previously sold to the facility as part of the overall project.
The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is the first research organization to install a vertical-axis wind turbine farm on its roof. The chief operating officer of the foundation, Mike Morgan, said that Helix Wind’s turbines meet all of their requirements. He added, “With their double-helix shape, the wind turbines are shaped like a DNA molecule, and that’s a perfect symbol for a biomedical research institute like OMRF.”
The market reaction to the purchase order announcement has also been positive. The stock of Helix Wind is currently trading at $0.023 a share, up nearly 334%. Volume is massive with more than 82 million shares traded, well above the average daily volume of about 2.7 million shares.
