Energtek Inc., a world leading developer of Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, announced that it has sent a proprietary Low-pressure Mobile Pipeline(TM) (LMP) semi-trailer to a nation in western Africa for a commercial natural gas distribution field test. As part of this test, natural gas will be transported by the recently manufactured semi-trailer, from a distribution well-head to an off-site industrial energy consumer.
The LMP semi-trailer transports similar quantities of gas as other CNG systems, but at substantially reduced pressures. This ability significantly reduces the costs of natural gas compression and decompression associated with other mobile bulk transportation systems.
“After an extensive development process, Energtek’s Low-pressure Mobile Pipeline technology is ready for commercial application,” stated Energtek CEO Lev Zaidenberg. “This field test represents a significant milestone for our LMP technology, and we are confident that additional commercial milestones will follow shortly.”
