Early Gainers with Big News

The following companies released news late yesterday evening or early this morning:Shares of Hyperdynamics Corp. (AMEX: HDY) climbed 36 cents, or 10 percent, to $3.00 on volume of 476,400 this morning after the company announced its attendance at a meeting with the Prime minister of the Republic of Guinea last week. According to the company’s press release, the meeting centered around a mission to promote Hyperdynamics as a U.S. company with interest in Guinea investments, and to attract investment from U.S. companies in Guinea.

Vending Data Corp. (AMEX: VNX) shares rose 20 cents, or 6 percent, to $3.45 on volume of 257,900 in early morning trading. The move comes after the company’s announcement it will become a 75 percent owned subsidiary of Elixir – the deal is expected to result in a strong and growing high margin recurring revenue base.

Greater China Media and Entertainment Corp. (OTCBB: GCME) shares increased 5 cents, or 38 percent, to 18 cents this morning, still rocking from yesterday’s news the company received scripts for its 25-episode television series tentatively named “True Love.” Greater China Media acquired the script rights in 2006, as well as distribution rights in China excluding Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao.

Shares of Pure Vanilla Exchange Inc. (OTCBB: PVNX) jumped 2 cents, or 22 percent, to 14 cents this morning, just after word the company has more than 10,000 users of purevanilla.com, an anonymous payment solution for Internet purchases. In the press release, the company said it continues to add new Web sites to its network, and now has hundreds of merchants offering Pure Vanilla as a payment option to their customers.
