Zippi Networks, Inc., the fast-growing, San Jose-based eBay services company, is injecting new life into the maturing industry of servicing eBay sellers and is experiencing revenue growth some would have thought impossible in 2006, when the company was founded. Zippi bases its success on a powerful business model and high-end technology in the service of two related but distinct markets: people who have items to sell on eBay, but don’t want to bother doing it themselves; and people who want to make money servicing the eBay community but are frustrated with shrinking margins and increased competition Zippi is beating out…

Stocks Down in Early Afternoon Trading

As of 1:10 PM EDT, the Dow was down nearly 275 points, or -2.7 percent. The Nasdaq and the S&P were down 68 and 36 points respectively, both falling more than three percent on the day. The continuation of downward momentum seems to be stemming from a variety of causes; unemployment claims remain at their highest levels since 2001, orders to U.S. factories were shown to have declined by four percent, and anxieties over the current bailout bill making its way through Congress have been rising. All around, people are scared of what all of this means for them, but…

Senate Passes Revised Bailout Package – Public Dissent Grows

Debate continues over the bailout package that was pushed through the Senate Monday night, with many Americans expressing outrage over the mountain of pork barrel spending that has been built into the bill as it moves to a House vote. With many House members harboring re-election concerns, and fundamental differences in opinion on just how this problem should be handled, many are wondering if this new bill can pass. That remains to be seen; the…

Buffett Calls Financial Situation ‘Economic Pearl Harbor’

In his Wednesday appearance on PBS' The Charlie Rose Show, Warren Buffett referred to the nation's current financial struggles as an 'economic Pearl Harbor', also stating his hope that Congress would soon pass a 'counterattack' in the form of a bailout bill. Buffett, who was born during the Great Depression said, "In my adult lifetime, I don't think I've ever seen people as fearful economically as they are now." He went on to admit that when others are fearful, he tends to get greedy, and ultimately reap the benefits of a hammered-down market. Let us hear your thoughts below:

Legacy Wine & Spirits International Ltd. (LWSP.OB) Appears on Track to Offering a Good Bottle of Wine to China

There are many consumer items that western cultures take for granted. The power of a solid, American-made Pontiac or the decadence of a French truffle are but two consumer items that fit this bill. Many closed societies, however, have not been exposed to these items until fairly recently. Once they are exposed, they quickly find they enjoy these luxuries and can't live without them. As these cultures begin to reach past their once closed boarders, they will likely find many other tastes and needs that they were unaware of. Tapping and capitalizing on these hidden opportunities is just one way…
