ThermoEnergy announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s final regulations regarding airport de-icing operations offer an opportunity for the company to assist airports in protecting the environment and saving money. New regulations were put in place to protect the nation’s water, and they call for a more stringent permitting process for the collection of used aircraft de-icing fluids (ADF) and for removing chemical oxygen demand (COD) agents such as propylene glycol.
