Share prices for Cyberkinetics Neurotechnology Systems Inc. (OTCBB: CYKN) were up 12.5 percent today, apparently bolstered by the company’s recent second quarter financial results. According to the financials, total revenues for this quarter were at $439,000, down $32,000 from the previous year’s second quarter revenues of $471,000. Caliper Releases Second Quarter Results and Guidance

Financial reports are still trickling in for the first half of the fiscal year 2007. Caliper Life Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ: CALP), a leading provider of equipment for preclinical drug research, announced its second quarter results for 2007. Revenues for Caliper were up 45 percent year over year in the second quarter to $35.3 million. The generated revenues for this quarter were able to out-perform the guidance levels set between $30 and $35 million. PURE Teams Up with Swabplus to Tackle China

Shares of PURE Bioscience (OTCBB: PURE) jumped up today after news about its distribution agreement with Swabplus came out earlier this morning. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is certainly sticking to its promise on being tougher on offenders this year. This morning, the SEC announced that a settled enforcement action had been placed against MetLife subsidiary General American Life Insurance Company (GALIC) and former GALIC senior vice president William Thater for their roles in a late trading scheme back in 2002.
