VIASPACE, Inc. (VSPC.OB) Subsidiary Licenses China Patent from Caltech

After the bell, VIASPACE announced that their subsidiary, Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Corporation, acquired a fuel cell patent from Caltech. The patent is entitled “Organic Fuel Cell, and Methods of Operation Thereof and Manufacture of Electrode Therefor.” The CEO of VIASPACE and Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Corporation, Dr. Kukkonen, commented on the patent saying that it covers all organic fuels including methanol, ethanol, and formic acid.
