RealNetworks, Inc. (RNWK) Doubles Syndication Partners by Acquiring Macrovisions’ Trymedia

Digital entertainment company RealNetworks (RNWK) is doubling its syndication partners thanks to acquiring substantially all of the assets of casual gaming company Trymedia from Macrovision. RealNetworks announced Friday that the acquisition is part of its strategy to build reach through partnerships. The announcement comes on the heels of its strategic partnership with Amsterdam-based The Spill Group earlier this month. In addition, the Seattle-based RealNetworks announced its acquisition of Game Trust last year.
