Hammonds Industries, Inc. (HMDI.OB) Files New Patent Application For On-Board Injector

Hammonds Industries President Carl Hammonds has filed a patent for a technology that allows diesel engine operators to inject fuel additives while simultaneously filling up with gas. This, in turn, allows diesel vehicles to run on a custom blend, with additives known to improve fuel efficiency by 10 to 15 percent. If he receives a patent, Mr. Hammonds will assign exclusive domestic and international rights to the new invention — what he's calling an On-Board Injector — to the company. The price of oil, which has been on a rollercoaster as of late, has once again dropped. This time oil prices dipped below $75 a barrel today, which is a new 13-month low. A gallon of regular gas fell nearly 4 cents overnight to a new national average of $3.125, according to auto club AAA. Signs are not pointing to an increase in demand after the gasoline price drop.
