More Mortgage Rate Cuts

For the second week in a row, rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages fell; this week to an average of 6.14 percent, in what experts are calling an indication of increasing concern over ever-weakening financial conditions. It is anticipated that the Federal Reserve will announce even further cuts at the year's final meeting in December. Extremely Volatile Session Ends on High Note

Shortly after 12:00 pm ET on Thursday, it seemed like the market was heading for the fourth-straight day of losses, however, afternoon trading brought a sharp 900-point surge that left the Dow Jones industrial average up over six percent, with other indices experiencing similar increases.
