Emeritus Corp. is a healthcare company that provides assisted-living situations for the elderly suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The company operates 289 communities in 36 states, accommodating more than 30,000 senior citizens. Company shares pulled back to their lowest point in the last year, falling to $17.56 during yesterday's trading session on average volume. However, company officials vehemently assure shareholders that Emeritus is still very much alive.
