Clenergen Corp. (CRGE.OB) Expands Land Leases in India and South America

Clenergen Corporation, a developer of power generation systems that run on biomass crops grown specifically for use as a power source, has secured a 49 year lease for 4,000 acres of land in Tamil Nadu, on the southeast coast of India. The acreage, located in the Tuticorin and Tirunelveli districts, will support plantations of bamboo (1,200 acres) and a fast growing species of tree called marjestica (2,800 acres) to feed a planned 16 megawatt power plant in the city of Tuticorin. Taseko Mines Ltd. (TGB) to Receive $180 Million to Form Joint Venture for 25% of Gibraltar Mine

Taseko Mines Ltd. is a British Columbia-based mining company. The company's main assets are its Gibraltar copper-molybdenum mine, the Prosperity gold-copper project, the Harmony gold project and the early stage Aley niobium project. The company announced yesterday that it had signed a letter of intent with Sojitz Corporation to establish by early 2010 a joint venture over Taseko's Gibraltar copper/molybdenum mine.
