Yesterday, TNFG Corp. and Lightspeed Financial, Inc. announced that they completed the transaction whereby Lightspeed has acquired 100 percent of the membership interest of Terra Nova Financial, LLC for a purchase price of approximately $27.6 million. The purchase price consists of an initial cash payment of $22.6 million and a $5.0 million promissory note bearing interest at a rate of 8% and due within six months of closing or the earlier release of clearing deposits held Terra Nova's clearing firm. Acorn Energy reported a large increase in sales in the third quarter of 2010 compared to last year as the company benefited from increased orders in many of its business segments.
